The irregular motion of short fibers, wave like formation in the sliver between pairs of roller is called Drafting Wave. The main causes of Drafting Wave are:
1. Short fiber.
2. Nip to nip distance is greater then fiber length.
3. In carded yarn fiber are not parallel.
4. Wider roller setting.
5. High percentage of short fiber.
